“No problem with Captain Wohlt’s although I did find out that the rooms are spread around town a little. Our room was about 2 blocks from the check in office. Different, but not an issue. The location was within easy walking distance of the downtown area and Missouri River, and the room parking is immediately adjacent to the house we had a room in. Rooms are refurbished, clean, with good amenities. “Captain Wohlt” himself is quite nice and accommodating.”

“All good except smallish. We would have liked more space since we were there 3 nights otherwise very nice property and easy to book, check in and easy to communicate with the manager.”

“Great property as a whole .excellent bedding and towels.itchen was well stocked.urniture in good shape .unit 302 in cabin 3 was right above train tracks .I ask how often the trains ran after dark. Only twice a day was the answer.theres a train every hour all night.dont worry they supply earplugs . Insert sarcasm here.hot tub is unreliable in that unit as well.”

“The property owners Larry and Linda are the absolute best! They are so welcoming and accommodating. The house holds so much history and was very interesting to tour. The rooms were very clean and the space was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was homemade, delicious and enjoyed by all. They do have a hot tub although we did not use it. Very beautiful property. I would highly recommend this place. ”

“The home was charming but in need of repair. The exterior seating area and fire pit area was overgrown and in disarray. The listing showed breakfast to be served each day but it was only served on the last day of our stay.”

“It was so comfortable and uniquely and beautifully decorated! There was so many awesome areas to explore inside and outside of the Grain Bins. Food provided for breakfast was fresh and hot. There was perfectly cooked bacon, scrambled eggs and really moist corn muffins with homemade mango preservers! We were welcomed with fresh, homemade plum bread. Instructions for everything available to utilize and operate were easy to understand. I can’t wait to go back and I will tell all my friends and……

“A beautiful property that really takes you back in time. It is clear that there is a lot of attention to detail in the decorating and it was certainly a unique place to stay. We will be recommending the tour of the hotel to family and friends, but not an overnight stay. Upon check in, the manager informed us that the previous occupant of our room had issues with the shower (bits of the piping coming out of the shower head?). She mentioned that if we had troubles, she was sorry in advance. No……

“The property was beautiful, in a great location with outdoor seating areas for the guests. The owner thought of just about everything you may need during your stay and made them readily available. The only complaint I have was the bed in the Van Gogh room. It was aweful. It was old, extremely uncomfortable and should have been replaced long before my stay.”
